We always look forward particularly to the pools issue of “sb” because summer is on its way here in Cologne and we ask ourselves which of these attractive facilities could be our holiday destination this year. Again, the decision this year isn’t easy.

The opening match of the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship is taking place in Warsaw’s National Stadium on 8 June and the final in Kiev on 1 July. What the two stadiums have in common is their successful synthesis of old and new.

IOC/IAKS Award IPC/IAKS Distinction
